Whether you’re a fan of the classic Holmes stories or one of the newer big- and small-screen versions, we invite you to join us for this exciting live play-reading series, held in a beautiful private concert hall venue in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles.

Each reading will be introduced by series curator and noted Sherlockian Leslie S. Klinger.  And each helps support a Sherlockian cause.

The second event of the Sherlock Holmes in Brentwood playreading series.

This holiday story will plunge you right into the world of Victorian England.  It’s an icy, wintry December, 1889.  Watson arrives at Baker Street to find his old friend Sherlock Holmes.contemplating a hat. And the fun begins — treachery, a stolen jewel, and a Christmas goose feature in this world premiere adaptation of Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes Christmas  tale, THE BLUE CARBUNCLE.  

Esteemed  Sherlockian expert Les Klinger, our curator and host,  will introduce the play and give a brief talk before the performance touching on some of the traditions of Sherlock Holmes’ times and other elements of the story.

Soprano Christine Sofiane will sing a pre-show very short recital of some of Sherlock Holmes’ favorite music and a Christmas medley.

Rob Arbogast returns as Sherlock Holmes, with Paul Denniston as Watson, and a wonderful set of co-stars including Jonathan LeBillon, Steve Peterson, Stefan Rudnicki, Bryan Coffee,Elly Jaresko, and Michael Goldstrom.   Adaptation written and directed by Bonnie MacBird.

Doors open at 4:00 for pre show hot cider.

Performance will commence at 4:30 sharp.

After the performance, please join the cast for refreshments.

Your ticket purchase for Sherlock Holmes in Brentwood events partially fund the show itself, but a percentage will be donated to a worthy Sherlockian related cause.

This performance will send funds to the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Heritage Trust, Ltd. dedicated to restoring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s magnificent estate, Undershaw.
