IN BRENTWOOD
Sherlock Holmes in Brentwood is a live play reading series that is produced by Bonnie MacBird at the Contrapuntal Performance Hall in Brentwood. Previous readings have included an introduction by noted Sherlockian Leslie S. Klinger, author of the authoritative New Annotated Sherlock Holmes, and feature music especially written for the series by award-winning composer Ryan Johnson(Watson, Stoneface, HitRECord Fall Formal). The first season included readings of Conan Doyle’s rarely seen original adaptation of his own story The Speckled Band. Future productions will include Jeremy Paul’s acclaimed The Secret of Sherlock Holmes and a musical Sherlock Holmes evening. Other readings are in the planning stages – we aim to surprise and delight you with a variety of Sherlockian experiences
